So you have a Lost Windows password? Right now the only solution I can think of and have used in the past relies people being lazy in the install process.

Solution
Default administrator password
Quite often the administrator password in a WindowsXP machine will have been left blank in the installation and then never touched again. To be able to login as "administrator" you simply have to boot up into safe mode, login as "administrator" and leave the password field blank.
ctrl+alt+del can be used to login normally from the WinXP Welcome screen, however, this won't work if the administrator password hasn't already been set.
Registry Edit Boot Disk
The boot disk available here, is able to truly reset a password.
