Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter

Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter is the third incarnation of the Tom Clancy Ghost Recon series of games. It features a far more urban setting than previous incarnations.

Shader Model 3.0

GRAW only supports graphics cards that support shader model 3.0. Unfortunately that means for people with still fairly capable cards like the NVidia FX 5xxx series cards are presented with nothing more than black textures and no lighting.

At this stage there doesn't even seem to be a compatibility fix like we saw with Battlefield 2 and geforce 4 series cards.

Failed Installation

On some systems GRAW may fail installation with the following error message

Setup has experienced an error.

Please do the following:
-Close any running programs
-Empty your temporary folder
-Check your Internet connection (Internet-based setups)

Then try to run the Setup again.

Error code: -6001

Just go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\Professional\RunTime

and delete the 0701 folder and try the installation again.
