Are you sick of getting the following message every time you try to run some software?
The publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to run this software?
Solution
- Start->Run...->"gpedit.msc"
- User Configuration->Administrative Templates->Windows Components->Attachment Manager->"Inclusion list for low file types"
- Tick "Enabled"
- You can specify your own list of extensions, comma delimeted, but here is the line I use;
.exe,.msi,.com,.avi,.wmv,.jpg,.jpeg,.mpg,.mpeg,.mkv,.mp3
Windows 2003
With Windows 2003 you additionally have to disable Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration.
- Control Panel->Add/Remove Windows Components
- Untick "Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration"
- Click Next and you are done!
